Standing in the Gap
Saturday November 23 @ 10:50am
This Thanksgiving, we have the incredible opportunity to come together as a church family in gratitude for those who continuously serve and protect our community. On Saturday, November 23rd, during our 10:50 a.m. worship service, we will be honoring the brave men and women who have answered the call to stand in the gap during our most critical moments.
First responders – the firefighters, police officers, EMTs, and military personnel – are often the unseen heroes. They are the ones who rush toward danger, offer life-saving aid, and provide the peace of mind that our safety and well-being are their highest priority. These individuals stand in the gap for us, providing protection and comfort during times of crisis. Their willingness to sacrifice for the greater good is a reflection of true service, and it is a calling that deserves recognition and honor.
This year, as a special tribute to them, we are organizing a worship service dedicated to celebrating their service and courage. We are inviting many first responders from our local community to join us so that we may express our deep appreciation for their work and commitment. It will be a time of reflection, celebration, and heartfelt gratitude.
As a token of our appreciation, we will be presenting Thanksgiving meal baskets to these first responders, which will be lovingly prepared by our congregation. We encourage all members to participate by helping to prepare these baskets. In the upcoming weeks we will provide was to sign up for a basket and will keep you posted. Each basket will be a symbol of our church’s gratitude, filled with essentials for a Thanksgiving feast and a reminder that they are supported and appreciated by our church family.
How Can You Help?
Over the next few weeks, we will be sharing the list of items needed for each meal baskets and asking our congregation to help in putting these baskets together. This is your chance to take part in this outreach ministry, offering a small gesture of thanks for those who have given so much. Together, we can create baskets that not only feed the body but nourish the spirit of those who serve us daily.
Let’s come together in this season of thanksgiving and show our first responders that we see them, we value them, and we are deeply grateful for their dedication. Just as they stand in the gap for us, let’s stand in the gap for them by offering our love and support.

Together, we will make this a Thanksgiving to remember – not only for our first responders but for our entire community, as we join in a spirit of unity, gratitude, and service.
All Are Invited to Join Us!
We invite everyone to join us for this special occasion on Saturday, November 23rd. Let’s honor those who stand in the gap and show our heartfelt thanks for their unyielding service.
