"Church should be a safe place to bring children. Everyone involved in work with children who are minors must meet all Church and legal standards and requirements" (Church Manual, Ed 18, pp 168-169).

As part of this effort, those over 18 who are to serve within our church ministries that will be working with children and youth, are asked to complete a criminal background check (FB 20) and child protection training through Sterling Volunteers. This process will need to be completed every 3 years.

If you have not previously registered within our background check system, please follow these steps to set up your account and begin the training process. If you have previously completed a background check and have an existing account, please see the alternate instructions below.

1. Visit https://www.nadadventist.org/asv
2. Select "First Time Registrant" from the orange boxes
3. Select the state of "Florida" from the dropdown box, Hit Select & Continue
4. Select "Florida Conference" from the dropdown box, Hit Select & Continue
5. Set up your user name and password, it's recommended to use your email as your User Id.
6. Select Naples SDA Church as your Primary Location
7. Select "Children's Ministry" as your Role.
8. Click the green circle to begin your online training.
9. Follow the instructions for the online training and select "Click Here" to begin the course.
10. Upon completion of the training, follow the instructions to submit for your background check.

2. Select 'Login for Existing Accounts"
3. Sign in with your user name and password
4. Complete the training prompts in your login page.
