Hurricane Ian Community Serve Needs

Helping Our Community in the Aftermath of Hurricane Ian

Updated 10/14/22

As we continue to evaluate the destruction and loss caused by Hurricane Ian hitting SW Florida at a Cat 4 hurricane, we are working diligently in organizing ways we can assist those in need. Please continue to return to this page for updates on how you can get involved and items for donation. Please keep our community in prayer as many have lost everything, including loved ones, and are currently working through the wreckage of what was once their homes and workplaces. Let us be the hands and feet of Jesus as we meet the needs of those around us.

Pray for Our Community

One of the biggest ways we can support our community is through prayer. Pray for those that have lost their homes, to find means of shelter, food, clothing and basic essentials to continue as we process past the storm. Pray for our first responders who have tirelessly worked 24-48 hours shifts on little to no sleep, dealing with the carnage left by Hurricane Ian. Pray they may find peace and comfort as they continue their search and recovery efforts. Pray for our local and state leadership to continue to support the clean up and recovery efforts. Pray for the relief efforts from all over the county. All the ministries that have traveled down to provide aid of all types. May their resources continue to be plentiful and may their volunteers continue to have the stamina to make it through the long process of serving those in need. Pray for the utility workers that are working around the clock to repair road, bridges, electrical, sewer and everything in between to get our beautiful home back up and running at 100%. Pray for our church, that we might continue to recognize and meet the needs of those close to us and throughout the community.

How to Serve

In an attempt to provide you multiple ways you can serve in our community with the clean up efforts and serving those still displaced or in need of personal items and more, we have provided below a list of established, credible ministries that are taking place throughout town with contact information on you can get involved. As we determined specific needs within our church family, we keep you posted on how you can get involved as well. Thank you to everyone that has been serving and helping those throughout our community. We remind you to continue to bring in your non-perishables 2 cans a week as we prepare for Thanksgiving and now more than ever, please consider donating a Thanksgiving Meal basket to be given to a family in need at Thanksgiving time.
